What is CBD?
CBD (cannabidiol) is a chemical compound extracted from hemp and cannabis plants.  CBD is a cannabinoid like the THC found in cannabis, but CBD is non-intoxicating.   It does NOT get "high".  CBD does activate serotonin receptors in the brain, causing an anti-depressant effect.

What is CBD used for?
CBD products has helped with a wide range of health problems such as insomnia, physical pain, and anxiety. CBD has also been studied for its anti-seizure properties and its ability to combat brain damage caused by opioid addiction. Currently, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is in the process of approving a CBD-based epilepsy medication which will make it the first cannabis-derived prescription medication in the United States.

Is CBD legal?
As of 2019, CBD derived from hemp is legal nationwide. This includes all hemp-derived CBD products like oils, edibles, and ointments.  It is important to purchase CBD products from a reputable source with verifiable test results to ensure that they meet this standard.

Is there an age requirement for the use of CBD?
CBD Werx requires purchasers to be 18+ years of age. It is legal for CBD to be used for therapeutic benefit in minors, but it must be purchased and dispensed by the parents/guardians.

Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?
Yes, it’s possible to fail a drug test after taking CBD because drug tests are designed to identify any quantity of THC. To minimize THC exposure, select high-purity CBD concentrates labeled 99.9% pure (such as isolates).

How much CBD should I take?
Begin with a low dose of CBD for several days before increasing the dose. Every person must see what works best for them as effects will vary depending upon your metabolism, age, gender, etc. If you have an underlying condition it is important that you consult your doctor before using CBD, especially if you have a history of alcohol/drug abuse, mental illness, are taking medication or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Does CBD interact with other medications?
Yes. Consult your doctor before consuming CBD if you are taking medication. Studies have shown that CBD can inhibit the metabolizing of certain drugs.

What are “Full-Spectrum” CBD products?
Full Spectrum products are either extracted in a way that preserves the entire range of beneficial compounds (such as Whole Plant CBD Oil) or have these compounds added back into the final product after extraction. Research indicates that cannabinoids like CBD can provide more effective, predictable symptom relief when combined with other plant compounds like terpenes.
